A farm supply store that was formerly located near by had great prices on all
grade 2, 5 and 8. Everything was sold by the pound. The grade 8 by the
pound was about 25% of the price that a local nut and bolt supply store
charged.
Of course now that I hear about these counterfeit grade 8's I'm wondering how
good the stuff really was.
A flea market that I visited had a few different grade 8 sized nuts and bolts
in large quantities for almost nothing. I mean about 50 cents for a
handful. I always assumed that grade 8 was grade 8, but apparently that is
not
true. And what appears to be a bargain might not be.
