Gents (and ladies),
Last weekend I put the windshield on my SV. In addition to it being serious
unfun, I may have a problem. The windshield is secure, and meets the doors'
vent windows correctly, the best I can tell. The problem(?) is that at the
front, I can lift up the rubber weatherstrip and stick my little finger in,
maybe a half inch until I hit the dash pad, which is under the windshield. I
am aware of shims, but don't wish to change the angle of the windshield. My
concern is how weather tight it will be; I am considering caulking behind the
weather strip, but before I commit $5 worth of caulk to the project, I wanted
to know if anyone had a better idea, comment, etc.... am I on the right track?
All advice appreciated.
Many thanks,
Bill
