I will transcribe the whole story since it really isn't that long....
"Race Expert Subject of Movie"
"Norman Garrad, Competitions Manager for Rootes Motors, is the subject
of a planned motion picture about his race and rally activities on
behalf of the
Sunbeam Alpine sports car.
The projected film biography of the dean of European competition
managers
has been slated by Hollywood producer director Roger Corman for his
Filmgroup company.
Corman is negotiating for famed British actor Jack Hawkins to portray
Garrad, who
was a top race driver himself before becoming chief of Rootes Motors'
international
road and track activities.
The film will cover the use of actual competitions as proving grounds
for mechanical
and comfort improvements in model development. It will include
extensive motion picture records of the Sunbeam's past and present
successes.
It also will include Garrad's driver recruiting activities. Among
champions to whom
he gave their first factory competition rides were Stirling Moss and
Jack Brabham.
Garrad presently is preparing cars and team for the historic Tour de
France. His son
is Western region manager of Rootes Motors."
I wonder what became of this film?
