Just talked to my Dutch Sunbeam restorers friends. They mentioned the following procedure. They wire-wheel brush most of there hardware, bolt nuts, bushings and even brake and clutch pedals Then they have all these parts galvanized. Which is relatively cheap per pound They do not use much stainless, as I try to do if possible. I never heard of anybody use galvanizing here in the US. Anybody have experience with this or comments?
