Found a Series II in the same condition with a hardtop. Paid $1,000 for it.
Depends how much you want it. Be prepared to put out a heck of a lot more for a
proper restoration. Even with a rust-free Alpine I am putting out about $5,000
for paint and bodywork (panel beating of 40 years worth of door dings!) and I'm
moving into restoring the interior next!

Subject: S III Alpine
Found a Series III Alpine.... Straight, totally rust-free, runs well,
badly oxidized original paint, shabby but useable interior, shredded
soft top, drives well, very complete as to bits and pieces, nothing
remarkable either way with the chrome. This is a very original desert
car that has been in storage for most of the last 30 years. Could
someone come up with a fair market value range? Thanks, and sorry to
bomb the list.
