Hi, the hardware set for attaching the S U N B E A M letters to the
trunk lid have a set of translucent plastic sheaths (about 3/4" long)
that look like they are meant to go over the letter studs once the clips
and gasket parts are installed. What is the purpose of these sheaths?
Do they simply slip over the studs after all the letters are installed?
If so it doesn't seem like they serve much of a purpose. A friend
suggested that they should go in the letter holes first but if that is
so I don't see how the clips and gaskets will work.
