Threads on the Gas Tank-Series II

Hi List,
I'm trying to get the fuel line back on the gas tank, it just won't go.  I
must have buggered up the threads a little when I was putting it back
together.
Does anyone out there know what the actual thread size is for the outlet
nipple on the Series II gas tank?  What I'd like to do is buy a fitting to
put on the nipple just to clean up those threads.
