 If you go to the sunbeamalpine.org web site, there's info on identifying
your Alpine. It's probably a Series 1 if it has the 1492 engine and an oval
tag with a body number on it.  I'm beginning restoration on a Series 1--in
the process of disassembly.  It's a wonderful car!
BTW, where are you located?
