Gents: the SV restoration is cruising along nicely (albeit in first
gear!), and two things have come up. First, is there anything I need to
look for in the fresh air vents? Is it a case where they work or don't
work? Recently I saw some information from the group about pulling the
boxes out, etc, and it seemed like a headache. Are the vents normally a
problem? Second, I have an oil cooler, and I am in two minds about
using it. I was thinking about installing it, and plugging it off, and
plugging off the inlet and outlet on the base. In that way, it will be
there if I need it later (to be determined by running for a summer).
Can I cap off the base, or does that mess up the oil flow? Am I better
off to loop from the inlet to the outlet of the base to maintain the
designed flow? Thanks in advance for your thoughts. Bill
