I'm just about to install my windshield after having replaced the window
gasket. The wedges on my Alpine V 1967 have dimensions 20 by 90 mm, 7 mm thk at
the rear thinning to 1 mm in the front. They're fitted BELOW the frame to body
rubber gasket. Two bolt holes in each.

I spent a lot of time filling in the glue stuff between window and gasket. Now,
can someone tell me if the frame to body rubber gasket shall be glued in any
way?

I'm also about to install the crashpad; Any recommendations on how to fix it
properly (there is a lot of old black cardboard falling apart below the dash,
also there are two thin coated aluminum shaped pieces at the edges under the
dash which I kind of managed to spoil. Thinking of replacing all of it with
some black plastic coated steel plate I got at some tinmans shop...)
