My scale:
V. Five-main 1725, all-synchro box, alternator, real foot vents, larger
booster on later cars. Cost-cutting evident but tolerable.
III. (early) Fins, bigger trunk, Zeniths, booster, telescopic steering
wheel, improved seats. Upright windshield a minus.
II. Fins, improved positioning of steering wheel, a few more horses from
1592, by far the most racing heritage.
I. The original idea. Fins, great styling, roll-up windows. Not as
comfortable for some drivers as other Series.
III. (late) Solex a huge minus on an otherwise great package.
IV. Seams still filled in, later hardtop looks better with smaller fins.
But that Solex again! Later cars benefit from all-sychro box.
GT cars (all). Any chance of rain on your outing? If you plan to stop
anywhere, don't leave the hardtop behind!
IV (automatic). Does 0-to-60.
