I have three questions to do with rebuilding my SV:
First, I have asked this question before in a different way, please bear
with me. I am struggling with using or not using the brake booster,
some fellows suggested going without the booster and using a S1 MC. At
the time, I did not realize the S1 and 2 did not have boosters
(correct?). With this knowledge, I ask the question again, can anyone
contrast the pressure needed to brake between the S1/2 and S3/4/5? I am
concerned my wife will not like the unassisted brakes.
Second, my car sat for 15 years or so. Show of hands: should I have
the tanks cleaned and lined? Is yanking them a big deal?
Finally, when I put the winddhield back in the frame, am I wise to use
silicone in the gasket, or just between the gasket and the body? Is
this a job for a (rank) amateur, or should I get a windhield specialist
in?
