Finally...
I want to thank John Webber for writing this article. If I was half as
good at writing as he is, my web site would be a much better place for
everyone. John has written a story that will make anyone looking to buy
an old British sports car consider the Alpine as one of their top
choices. It's good to see an article that does the Alpine justice.
It was also good to see a good Harrington bit as well. On an interesting
note... since that article was written and published our Registry count
on Harrington Alpines has risen. We now have 15 Harrington Alpines,
around 70 Harrington LeMans, 6 Series 'C' and 9 Series 'D'. There are
now 4 Harrington Alpines in the US. Bill Atalla in California has
imported one and Jan and myself have also brought the remaining parts of
one in to build our race car.
I thought John's article did a great job of explaining the differences
between all the different Series Alpines. The pictures were nice and I
was very thrilled and honored to see my cars in print. Thanks John for
taking the time to do this. The Alpine community salutes you! - Ian
