Ian, You are right, the gas cap makes it look like it has wing tanks. The
Bonnet support in the center would indicate and early II, but with the DMV
assigned VIN number it is difficult to tell much about it. With the center
Bonnet support, the VIN should be stamped on the firewall like the series
I's. That and a peak in the trunk might tell something. Russ

beside the obvious engine repalcement! The rear 3/4 view shot shows a gas
cap in the location of a Series 3, not where it should be for a Series II
which is lower on the wing. Am I seeing that right, or just going cross
eyed?
