One of the things Durant got was the NAME. Mr Olds could not build a car with
the "Olds" name, so he used his initials. Same thing happened to Albert
Champion-he lost his spark plug company and the use of his own name-so he
started "AC".

Thanks! I believe you ARE right! There were some corporate shenanigans
which forced Olds out of the GM structure, but my law-school corporate-law
class was more than two decades back and I forget the details; I only know
that Durant won and Olds lost.
