Beware! The Horn Ring design changed somewhere between Series 1 and Series
3. The difference in appearance is that on the early series the bars
between the ring and the wheel centre are solid; on later series they are
drilled. With my S3 the DPO had wired the horn to work from a swith on the
dash - the Horn ring and such parts as were not missing from the wheel/horn
ring assembly were from an earlier model -when I got my repro horn ring the
whole lot would not fit together without considerable headscratching and
finding of more parts.
