There sure is a Hillman list..... hillman@can-inc.com We are a little less
formal then the Alpine list (some say a whole lot less formal) but come on
over and join us! We have members from everywhere: NZ, Australia, England,
Finland, etc.

You should enjoy yourself. There are also many "cross overs" like yourself-on
both the Alpine List and the Hillman list.

I would personally like to welcome you to the ranks of ownership of
Rootes/Chrysler's FOREMOST performance and competition marque-winner of the
world rally championship two times, winner of 2 out of 3 of the longest rallys
ever run and a car still raced seriously today against the best Jap cars. AND
two of the longest produced cars ever introduced- the 1967 Hillman Hunter
STILL BUILT TODAY at the rate of 30,000 per year in Iran and the 1970 Hillman
Avenger, built until 2 years ago in Argentina as the Volkswagen 1500 and 1800.

A car so good, that its basic chassis and drivetrain went on to power a
distinguished sports car (the Alpine).

Hows that for some "Marque" prejudice? Anyway, come over and join the fun!
And, "thank God for Alpines" because without them we Hillman owners wouldn't
be able to get any parts!!!! ;-)

1959 Hillman Minx Series III DeLuxe
1973 Hillman Avenger DL (ex Plymouth Cricket)
Plus have owned over 100 Rootes cars (including a bunch of Alpines)

I'm going out tonight to look at a Hillman Minx. I know it isn't an
Alpine but I think a few people on the list have them.

Is there a Hillman list?

Where should I look for rust and other body problems?

Anthing I want to beware of?

Thanks in advance.
