Overdrive drive shaft

I am about to cut down a non-overdrive drive shaft for use with  an
overdrive. Can one of the overdrive community advise me of the exact
length of the drive shaft for a Series V with overdrive? Please include
the measurement reference points, and if available, an overall length
including the front and rear universal fittings.
