Opps, sorry to ruffle feathers. My interest is in Rootes/Chrysler UK mainline
cars so I have a tendency to view all of the sports cars together.
I am glad to hear that some very capable people have been able to take a
Hillman Husky chassis and a hotted up Hillman Minx engine and beat the tar out
of real sports cars (MG, Triumph, etc). That says a great deal about their
expertise and racing ability! Keep showing them those Hillman Minx taillights
on the track!!!

Yadda Yadda Yadda, and 35 years later the Tiger is still uncompetitive with
it's peers. Oh sure, you can cut the frame off, save the bare tub, construct
a completely new tube frame, hang fiberglass fenders et al, change the
suspension geometry and location points, and you probably still can't run
with a Cobra or Corvette which were the cars peers....35 years ago.
However, as I previously described, an Alpine will kick the ass of it's
contemporaries. I know because I DO. Not TALK, not bullshit what ifs and
maybes, I DO.
I am not the only one. Both Carls, Lou, Steve, Jeff, and Jarrid have and do.

Oh and just for the record, I own a MKI Tiger. B9470038, one of the few gray
dash survivors.
