An Arrow would be cool. I've always wanted to see how many parts they share
with the Alpine.
Does anyone have a Rootes parts list for the 60-70 Alpine GT, Hillman Hunter or
the British Plymouth Arrow?

Someone just bought a good '67 Arrow from a list member in West Virginia. I
have seen a surprising number of Alpine GT's on e-bay over the past year, so
there should be one or two around.

Are there any Sunbeam Arrows or 69-70 Alpine GT's, Hillman Hunters out there?
I would like to see one of these up in person!

If all goes well, I will be there with my Plymouth Cricket.

Everyone,
I had a great phone conversation with James Jennings who owns a Dove TR4. He
is very excited about attending our event. As I explained before, and many of
you already know, the Dove is a Harrington bodied TR4. James will be bringing
this rare car to our event, so I for one am very excited to welcome him to
the
Rootes side of the family. This should be a great event for Harringtons, so
if
you have an interest in them please come.
I'm hoping that there will also be a great turnout of other rare Rootes
mobiles as well. Any of you with Commer vans (Hint Hint), Humber sedans
(Hint
Hint), Hillman Minxes (Hint Hint), Imps (Hint Hint). You know who you are
and
we would love to see you at the event. Please contact me directly if you have
questions about the event. <ian@sunbeamalpine.org>
I am also getting a huge response from people who want to sell parts. We will
provide an area for buying and selling and if you are interested please
contact Tom Wiencek. He will be organizing the parts room. There will be no
extra fee for vendors, but we would like to have some idea for how much room
to have available for this. <tom@sunbeamalpine.org>
We are also now proud to announce that Tigers East/ Alpines East is along for
the ride and backing our event. Anyone wishing to join TE/AE or renew
membership can make arrangements during the event to do so, or visit the
TE/AE
web site at www.teae.org for online registration. Membership forms will be
made available at our registration tent. We hope to see a lot of new faces
at
this event, so lets all make the effort to help welcome them to the Sunbeam
community. Information and registration for the Invasion can be found at

I just ran across a chap from Lexington Ky who has a Dove TR4
(Harrington coupe conversion for TR4's). Naturally, I invited him to the
Sunbeam Invasion in Dayton, Ohio this June. There ought to be a good
Harrington turn out for this event! Even though it's a TR, it still has
a Rootes connection because of the Harrington conversion. Neat huh...!
:-)
Registrations are starting to come in and I encourage anyone who wants
to attent to PLEASE register early. It will really help us to plan the
event catering. Once again, this is the TE/AE & SunbeamAlpine.org
Sunbeam Invasion, June 8th, 9th, 10th. We hope to see you all there!
