I can't give you one, however I have seen the polished rockers on an Alpine
Race engine. They were significantly smaller in mass. Accordingly, they
weighed less. You will know better than I if this is weight savings is
significant. The entire rocker was done with a lot of material removed from
the fingers and the back sides only retained about half of the stock height.
They were awesome. They went in the trash can when he put a new engine
together and in his haste to get it running he forgot about the oil supply
tube. Within 15 minutes the whole setup was destroyed. I wasn't there or I
would have cried.
My "Holy Grail" adventure of finding roller tip rockers is continuing. I now
know the following:
The Chrysler "B" engine set up won't work
The Ford set up won't work
Crower is unwilling to make them
I have not given up. I will probably be faced with trying to get a fab custom
shop make them. SO ANYONE ELSE who is interested should sign on now so we an
attempt to get a quantity order and pricing.
