Generally the difference from specification was that the heater was standard
instead of an accessory!

I agree 100%. It's just that I don't think I can count anymore how many
times a US Alpine owner jumped up and down thinking their "non-standard"
"X" car was something special when all US cars came marked as an X. So, I
cut through to the incorrect generalization. Sorry for my US-centric
comment.
