Gear Ratios

I was reading some of the old archives today and it talked about the gear
ratios.  My Series I originally had an OD however, somewhere along the line
the OD was removed and the engine was replaced.  Not sure about the rear end.
How does one determine the gear ratio of their rearend.

Also does anyone have the email address for Bob, I think he went by the name
of Herbeam.  I bought some part from him a few years ago but lost his email
when I had to reformat my hard drive.
