A few years ago a 1960 Hillman Minx convertible with an Alpine V engine sold
for about $10,000-the car was indeed beautiful and was featured on teh cover
of British Cars magazine. I am indeed a Hillmaniac, but if a Minx is worth
$10K, and Alpine is worth quite a bit more. From what you wrote, your car is
close to like-new condition, not in need of anything and with lots of extra
performance-so $11K is a very reasonable price.... but.... the trick is you
must find someone who wants a perfect Alpine and is willing to pay for it!!!

I have to laugh...the silence is deafening!!! I now know, due to the
lack of any response whatsoever, that my valuation of my SV was indeed
residing in La-La Land. The upside is that the decision not to sell my
car has been made for me. I am surprised, though, that no one had the
gumption to tell me that my car is not worth anything close to $11,000!!
