My Cricket has had repeated (twice now) clogging of the pickup back at the fuel
tank-the material is a powdery red substance-although it looks like rust, the
inside of the tank is as clean as a whistle and there does not appear to be any
rust in the tank. What IS this stuff. I thought the problem was fixed this
spring when I took the tank out, cleaned out the pickup tube and had the tank
cleaned. The material almost looks like sediment....

Any suggestions or solutions? I blew out the line this week after it
clogged-the only thing I did recently was add some dry gas because of the cold
weather here in the East (I had the problem with the tank at exactly the same
time last year, but put the car away until spring).

or 1-2 quarts. Please help

Thanks in advance
