Chuck,
I installed an Autopower rollbar from Sunbeam Specialties and really enjoy
it. It comes with all mounting hardware and was easy to bolt down. The
"legs" also accommodate the battery box and carpet cuts are easy and
minimal. I have a series IV, so I have to remove the metal side convertible
top covers when raising and lowering the top, but this isn't much of a
problem. It's easier to get the top up than down, which is what matters
most. It was also very easy to drill and place my shoulder seat belts which
adds to the safety.
One question for the group, however: The bar system has a thin metal bracket
behind the driver's seat in the head area. What is that for? Wind screen?
Speakers? Headrest?
