It depends on which Sceptre the engine is from. The Mark II (Super Minx
shape) one will go straight in. The Mark III (Hunter shape) one fits at an
angle.

If it is the latter it can be made to fit. From memory it is just a matter
of fitting the plate from your Alpine that the engine mounts attach to to
the new block. The mounting points on the Hunter-type blocks aren't used
when fitted to an Alpine.

I take it you're using the Alpine gearbox? I recall there are added
complications if you want to use a Hunter-type gearbox.
