Hello Alpines:
On the other hand, I run about 15,000 miles a year in my Series V Alpine and 
after
an engine rebuild a couple of years ago the valves severely receeded into the 
head
and I had to have it, and them, re-done. I had it set up with hardened valve 
seats
and have not had a problem since.
