The right side front end came apart nicely and safely, aside from a broken =
split pin on trunnion bolt castle nut.=C2=A0 I felt like a real mechanic! I=
 took my time the last time I did this work, cleaning up threads,=C2=A0 lub=
ing bolts and studs, torquing to specs. It paid off. Getting the fulcrum pi=
n off is a pain due to the tight clearance to do wrenching.Cheers, Bruce Si=

Easy to build. Get a length of 3/4 threaded rod. 4 washers and 2 nuts. Or y=
ou can weld/braze a bar at the bottom like I did. You feed the rod through =
the hole where the shock goes. Easy and safe as John says below.

Be very careful with this step. The spring pan is under considerable pressu=
re from the shock spring. I don?t know your shop?s experience with these ca=
rs, but removing the spring pan without a spring compressor can cause injur=
y and damage. The common spring compressors that fit to the outside of the =
spring in my mind are dangerous. You need a threaded rod type to put into p=
lace of the shock. Then you can decompress the spring safely. You can make =
a compressor, or I can lend you mine?
