Easy to build. Get a length of 3/4 threaded rod. 4 washers and 2 nuts. Or y=
ou can weld/braze a bar at the bottom like I did. You feed the rod through =
the hole where the shock goes. Easy and safe as John says below.

Be very careful with this step. The spring pan is under considerable pressu=
re from the shock spring. I don=92t know your shop=92s experience with thes=
e cars, but removing the spring pan without a spring compressor can cause i=
njury and damage. The common spring compressors that fit to the outside of =
the spring in my mind are dangerous. You need a threaded rod type to put in=
to place of the shock. Then you can decompress the spring safely. You can m=
ake a compressor, or I can lend you mine?
