The emergency release on my car can be reached from the driver=E2=80=99s =
seat or from outside the car on the passenger side. It works infinitely =
easier that the stock one =E2=80=93 I am able to open the hood with one =
finger. The stock pull, now over 43 years old, is stiff and the cable =
has stretched over time. Why continue to use it until it breaks? Then =
I=E2=80=99ll HAVE to replace it which I don=E2=80=99t have to do now.=20

I don=E2=80=99t understand why you don=E2=80=99t use the stock pull, so =
much easier than bending over and using the =E2=80=9Cemergency=E2=80=9D =
release. Yes I have the emergency =F0=9F=9A=A8 release, still waiting =
to use it.

I have one that looks just like the one sold by Macy=E2=80=99s Garage =
(https://macysgarage.com/parts-accessories.htm) except that I got it at =
a VTR Convention MANY years ago. Somebody (don=E2=80=99t remember who) =
did an impromptu tech session on it in the parking lot and when he was =
done, I asked him if he had any with him. He said yes and sold me one =
for $5. I have NEVER used the stock cable since. =20
