Dale,
Car started perfect during my visit. Then moments later after my errand
It turned the engine very very slowly. Just chugged. When I tried a jump. Had
ground to engine and then tried battery ground. No difference.
If I roll the car and pop the clutch in first it starts right up.
Sounds like starter. Tried tapping it to encourage it to engage. Nope. Didn't
work. Sigh. But started fine all week.
Starters go bad without any warning so I think it makes sense. Just wanted to
check with the wisdom.
Ugh. I hate taking that thing out.
Really needs two people to keep the nuts from free spinning.
Or jam an open end wrench somehow.
