Bill---I have removed and replaced the MC without bleeding the brakes. This
requires that some thought is necessary so that little, if any, fluid is lost
in the lines when disconnecting the lines at the MC. Same when reconnecting
them. Have rags under to catch inevitable drips. Fingers ready to plug each
threaded connection at the MC, in turn. Or, if you happen to have a spare MC
handy, you can have the right size thread plugs ready to place in body of the
MC that you are about to disconnect. Plastic tube plugs on hand to slip over
the lines. (Auto parts stores have packs of various sizes) The worse that can
happen if you are not successful, is you get to bleed the brake system.

Time to replace the brake booster. Shop manual says to drain the reservoir
and remove the master cylinder--which means on reassembly you have to bleed
the brakes. Is it possible to remove/replace the booster without completely
disconnecting the reservoir/master cylinder from the hydraulic lines first?
