Thanks to ALL who sent suggestions/tips/HELP.
The problem turned out to be brake pad knock back. I took my car to a
"professional mechanic" to do some stuff including installing
the Uncle Jack front hub stiffening kit. The kit was installed incorrectly,
and the front bearings were much too loose. Not anymore.
