Randy's laminate dash's at Prestige Autowood are works of art (Picasso, not
Garfunkel). He has laminates at a reasonable price ($350?) and hardwoods at
significantly less. I have a Koa wood laminate dash for my TR250 which is
amazing. I just bought a new dash for a GT6+ project that has a significantly
lower restoration budget. The craftsmanship on the hardwood is equally
impressive, but the finishing is limited to stain only. I can't comment on
the
others, but know you can't go wrong with Prestige.

Subject: [6pack] Dashboards
I am
looking to replace the tired dashboard in my 69 TR6. I'm attracted to
the
look of some aftermarket dashboards that might go well with my Moto-Lita
steering wheel.
I see Prestige, C&G Woodcraft and a gentleman in NC (Frank
Lawson) who
produces these. Are there others besides the big three worth
having a look?
I would value feedback from those of you who have gone this
route ... who did
you chose and have you been happy with your choice? Also,
what's your
general assessment on hardwood verses laminate?
Thanks.
Mike
