To be honest, unless you put a washer that's more than 1/4" thick, it's
not going to give you a bad reading on your sump dip stick. Look at the
gradation on the D.S., down a quart (which is 15% +/- of the sump
capacity) is down the dip stick something like .5 inches.
I also think you can buy the felt from TRF and probably Moss. Hint, hint.
