Bruce---If concerned about the possibility of this pressure line failing, short
of replacing this line with a new one, it's good to carry a 1/8 inch pipe plug
in the car with your other 'spare' parts. Inserting this plug into the block
could at least stop the flow of oil onto your knickers and Nikes.

Subject: [6pack] Oil Pressure Line Replacement - Access?
Is there an easier way to remove the oil line from the oil pressure guage?
The manual has you removing the speedo and tach to lower the dashboard to the
service position.
It looks like you could remove the ashtray and get a bit of
access, although I'm not sure you have enough room to actually get anything
done. If someone's done this, maybe they could explain.
While my oil pressure
line hasn't failed, I'm hearing more about this happening.
Thank you,
Bruce
