Petrol has probably seeped in over the years. Sure, you can purchase a new
one, but I followed the advice from the list (I'm sure it was Vance) when I
had the same issue. I set it out in the sun for a couple of weeks and it
evaporated back out. Worked like a charm. I figure it took 35 years to fill.
It should hold me for awhile.
(Of course you're in Oregon! Who knows how long it will take for you to get
enough sun to do the job!)
