Does anyone have some knowledge as to whether it makes sense to use 1-1/2"
SUs (HIF38 or HIF4) on a Goodparts triple manifold versus 1-3/4"? The
1-1/2" x 3 has more than enough CFM capacity for the engine but because the
throat is smaller I would expect there to be greater negative pressure
across the carb jet resulting in a more thorough mix of air and fuel at
greater velocity going into the combustion chamber. Is my premise correct
or not?
