Sal -
There is no best - almost the entire infield and much of
the outside of the track is available for camping. You can
be trackside almost anywhere on the circuit (except for the
pits and paddock areas and turns 1 and 2). It's a matter
of personal taste - do you want to see the cars go by at over?
a hundred miles an hour? If so, camp along the back straight
between the Esses and the 'Bus Stop'. Want a better look - try
up on top of the Boot (tho' it can get a little rowdy up there
even on a Vintage weekend). Other nice spots - on the infield
where the cars come up out of the boot onto the NASCAR course,
or in the woods on the uphill out of the boot, or over on Turn
5 past the 'Bus Stop'. If trackside isn't a priority, there are
lots of nice spots in the infield. Take a look at the website
(www.theglen.com) under 'Seating charts/maps' and select camping-
note that there are NO RESERVED CAMPSITES for the Vintage event -
it's all first come, first served and if you get there early to
mid-day Friday, you should be able to camp almost anywhere. Also
note that some 'trackside' sites are either low or possibly be-
hind the aarmco barriers so not all trackside sites have a clear
view of the track (but they still charge $235 for them for the
Indy car weekend and more for NASCAR). HTH.

I'll be there (but will be 'roughing it' in a hotel).
