I was having a few small clutch issues when I bought my car. I finally
changed out the hose (not SS) and the issues went away. It seems that it was
running very close to the block and would expand just enough to prevent the
hydraulics from giving 100%. I was always getting a nick when going into
reverse
and shift to first was just a little harder than I liked.
I don't know that stainless in necessary, but your call.
