My Triumph repair manual shows the change point of the exhaust valve:
exhaust head diameter 1.256 to 1.260"
Petrol engine
up to eng. no. CR 2844 intermittent from engine no. CR 2845 to CR 2935
Carb. Engine
up to eng. no. CF12500
exhaust valve dia. 1.193 to 1.197"
Petrol Eng.
Intermittent from Eng. No. CR2845 to CR2851 Complete from Eng. No. CR 2936
Carb. Eng.
