John, lightening the flywheel is a very good thing. If you have a long crank flywheel it will be even lighter than the later cranks. Look under the TR owners group for my take on the flywheel lightening of the stock one. Cheaper than the Fidnanza (sp). Seems like most people prefer the sachs, If doing it over again I'd choose the Sachs. I have No problems with idling, or take off issues, and you won't unless going to a very light flywheel, maybe sub 14-16 lbs.
