Victor,
The line from the rear carb originally went to the C vacuum port of the
thermostatic switch in the upper radiator hose. The line from the distributor
went to the D port of the thermostatic vacuum switch. The 73 Distributor had
one vacuum retard port. If the thermostatic switch is missing or no longer
working, then connect the vacuum hose directly from the carb the the
distributor. The carb port only has vacuum at idle.
