Hi,

Not to be a nit-picker, but the caliper bolts for late TR6 are actually 
specialty fasteners. The metric clipers have the holes in the mounting 
ears reamed to the metric size. The factory bolt has a 7/16-20 thread, but 
the shank of the bolt is a non-english (e.g. metric) diameter. This fact 
is well documented in the "Toyota 4-pot cliper conversion" articles.

Now, you could use a 7/16-20 bolt and make a collar to fit the hole in the 
caliper, but then you'd be spending money close to the purchase cost of 
the specialty fastener from Moss or TRF.

But these particular bolts are actually a special bolt and you really need 
to use the right part for the job. Your point about not using grade 2 is 
good advice. You want strong shear strength in these bolts because they 
take a LOT of shear force when you slam on the brakes.
