Hmm, looks like a sheet metal trigger wheel? I can't make out much
concerning the VR pickup mounting from those pics either. I'll
definitely need to see some better photos of the trigger wheel to see
the materials and process used to make it and the sensor mounting. Are
there any photos of what the stuff looks like before it is mounted?
The issue with the EDIS or any other crank fired option on a TR6 is the
trigger wheel location. There's not much room behind the crank pulley
for mounting, so if you put it there you either need a sheet metal wheel
like this one, or a custom crank pulley arrangement. That then leads to
changing the other pulleys on the water pump and alternator. Option two
is to mount the trigger wheel out on the fan extension or just in front
of the crank pulley behind the fan extension, but when you get out away
from the engine the bracket used for the VR sensor must be very solid,
or it can flex and vibrate which can send false signals to the ECU.
Option three would be a flywheel trigger like the Porsche 944's use.
If you have more detailed shots of these things I'd be very interested
to see them.
