When I moved to AZ (the hot part) with my 71 six, I found I had developed a
run-on problem. I also found I could control it with ignition timing. I
retarded the timing a couple of degrees, the engine temperature dropped and
the problem went away. Power may feel off a bit, but that's the trade.

I am asking on behalf of an Arizona guy.
He has an A.R.E. Heat Shield on his car in hopes it would cure a running on
condition. Didnt work.
Can anyone help Mr. Truttman? jtruttman@cox.net (John Truttman)
