To the best of my knowledge that information is never revealed. There is a
general mailbox that John Swauger more often than not replies to:

trfmail@aol.com

Why not just send them back as damaged. They will eventually get the message.
TRF is not usually that sloppy, is there any chance this is happening
further
downstream ?

I'll just copy this email to trfmail and we'll see what happens.

I'm not sending mine (TRF part# TRFCD63) back to TRF because

a. i figure, at this point they are ALL scratched - my guess is TRF bought a
lot of these, then had some volume machine shop drill them all -
IdiotWithBoxCutter probably works where ever that is and not at TRF - BTW one
of mine
has TWO roughly parallel scratches about 1/8 in apart - as if
IdiotWithBoxCutter didn't quite scratch it deep enough the first time and
decided to try
again - surely he or she must have felt the blade scratching the drum on the
first pass - i don't really suspect anyone at TRF of being THAT completely
thoughtless and stupid.

b. even though i will spend roughly $20 and several hours fixing the
problem, the drums will look much better than another set without scratches
when I'm
finished

c. given the likelihood that they are ALL scratched, why would i want to
spend my time and money packing and shipping them back, since I CAN fix them

Nevertheless, it would be nice to know for sure if IdiotWithBoxCutter works
somewhere besides TRF.

Cheers,
Jack McGahey
