Bob,
I haven't done that myself but I've been collecting some URLs that deal with
rebuilding the brake system and calipers.
Sierra Specially (http://www.brakecylinder.com/index.htm) rebuilds and has
some FAQs
Goldline Brakes (http://www.goldlinebrakes.com/) is who Sierra sends their
problems to!
VHT (http://www.vhtpaint.com/products/sfID1/1/sfID2/14) is the paint that
Sierra uses for their rebuilds while Goldline has a Polymer coating they
apply.
Nelson Riedel of Buckeye Triumphs also wrote a bunch of excellent articles
on overhauling your brake system, including rebuilding your calipers. You
should be able to find it with the "wayback machine" but if you can't, I can
email you the .pdf file

Subject: [6pack] Triumph TR6 - Caliper Rebuild
I'm currently in the process of rebuilding a set of calipers for a 1971
TR6.
I have new pistons, o-rings and seals. What steps would you take to
refurbish / clean the caliper? Would you paint the caliper after cleaning?
Thanks for your reply
