So it is, so it is. Man do I feel dumb. But it's
been that type of day - and just one part of a crappy
weekend as far as my TR6 "revitalization" is
concerned.
On Saturday morning, just as I was underneath the car
and honking on the last bolt to remove the flywheel,
it gave way and the back of my hand smashed into the
edge of the new floorpan. So it was off to the ER for
a few hours for some stitches to close the bloody
gash. Ugly. I was out of business for the day so off
we went to see Spiderman 3. Blah - third time was
definitely not the charm there.
Pent up energy had me back at it this morning and off
comes the flywheel. And if you've seen my other post
you'll know how that turned out - torn up teeth on the
ring gear. Time to order a new lightened one from
TRF. The worst part is that this step is crucial to
the rest of the project and nothing else can happen
until it's back on. I'd like to get it on the road
before the 4th of July.
Oh well, time for a drink or three and dinner. We'll
start all this foolishness again tomorrow with the
delivery of the prop shaft to the shop. Why do we
drive these things again?
